Keyshia Cole

I was watching Keyshia Cole's newest music video and..her nails caught my eyes! I mean, duh! ;)
They were so cute and stylish to me. It is definitely something that I would love to do with my nails.

Bare

I decided to cut my nails about a week ago. Suprisingly, I actually like my naked nails..but only when they are cut short. It's always good to let your nails breath anyway!

Rise and Shine, Let's Meet

Of course, I am a Sinful Colors type of girl! I need to broaden my horizons, but until then...
Okay first off, Let's Meet is a beautiful type of goldish yellow color. Depending on how you apply it depends on the sheerness. The first time I applied this color, which was about a month ago, it was very sheer. I had to put multiple coats on and it still wouldn't give me the bottle color. However, last night when I applied the coats, it only took two. I did three anyway though. It has a little shimmer in it as well which is probably the cause for it's sheerness.
Next up, rise and shine. Rise and Shine sister is Mint Apple. The only thing is Rise and Shine has more of a aqua color to it. Both, however, have a little shimmer in it. The opaque is still great regardless. Now let me say this, I was not a big fan of Rise and Shine. I do not know if it was because I purchased the wrong bottle or what. It applied so thick and the brush was so chunky, which made it seem like the nail polish was sitting on it like a big glob! Not only that, the color was so pretty once applied. But when it dried up it looked like I was a little girl playing with my Crayola paint. -_-
No shine whatsoever! I had to apply a top coat just for it to look presentable.
All three pictures were attempted to take in natural light but my camera failed to get the true bottle color. Rise and Shine leans more on the green side contrary to what the picture shows. Let's Meet is more golden than yellow.

Cloud 9

I am not a big fan of the color orange. AT ALL. However, being a nail polish addict, I decided to buy it anyway. Here is Sinful Colors' Cloud 9 with 3 layers and and a top coat

Bright Lights, Big Color Give-a-way

I am following a fellow blogger who goes by the name of L is giving away China Glaze Spring 2011 Anchors Away collection. Now if you are not familiar with China Glaze, they are a well known nail polish brand. Not only are they well known, but their shades of colors are so original and they speak volumes on your pretty little nails!
If you are a polish addict/freak [which ever you prefer] then this opportunity that is being offered by L is a must! You would be foolish if you did not participate! It is a great way to test the China Glaze brand as well as sport pretty colors for the upcoming spring! If you want to take a look at some of the colors, just go directly to her linked blogspot or you can go to the previous post I've had on them.
Trust me! These are some true spring colors. They are all beautiful and what better way to receive them then through a contest entry?

Turn Old Into New

Last weekend I purchased 4 Sinful Color nail polishes. I am not a big fan of dark colors, though I have been making an effort to love them. My first step was purchasing a color called What's Your Name. If you look quickly, this color is all black. However, looking closely, it is easy to see that it contains some green glitter/shimmer. Even in certain lighting, it shows as a dark dark green.
Because I am not a big fan of this color, I decided to switch it up by including some Gorgeous by Sinful Colors. Take a look:
This isn't my finish project, seeing how I still have to put a top coat on it and clean it up. But Gorgeous is a greenish-blue color, almost a teal. with a hint of gold. In the bottle, the gold even makes is seem a little metallic-ish. Anyway, I love the outcome! Looks so chic!

"Design"er Nails

Being the nail polish addict that I am *bats eyelashes* I have been looking at everyone hands. At the dentist office, this young lady had white nails with a bedazzled pinky nail. I just thought that was so cute because lately I have been seeing people have a design on their pinky nails. Seeing her nails made me want to go to the nearest Sally's and pick up some stick on jewels for my pinky nail. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do so. So instead, I did a little design of my own that I will show you in the next blog post. In the mean time, enjoy this picture!

PS: I also like the fact that people are deciding to design every finger nail differently. Like this:

Stiletto Nails

A few celebrities are wearing the stiletto nails. I think they look nice to an extinct! I would never wear them; only admire them from a far. They could definitely be hit or miss. They almost look like witch nails, but like I said: hit or miss.

Sparkles To Bring InThe Night

For New Years Eve, I decided to paint my nails with Sinful Colors' Insightly Midnight with a top coat of Hottie.
Insightly Midnight is a blueish metallic color. This is not natural light. I have to say this color had to grow on me because I am not a big fan of blue.
