If you do not know by now:
Katy Perry is coming out with OPI colors, one of which will include a black Crackle.
This is an ahhh--mazing crackle effect that appears on top of a color coat.
For those who are looking for a cheaper way to get down with this trend, starting February, China Glaze will release 6 new crackle colors. This should definitely be interesting. I plan to partake in one of the brands joyous events.
Not sure what I am talking about?
Here's a pick, Courtesy of
I find this ahh--mazing because it looks like a designed nail, but the easy way out! [for those of us who are less creative]

Christmas Time is Here
Saturday I painted my nails with what is now my favorite nail polish brand: Sinful Colors.
It reminds me so much of Christmas! Love it.
This is the Tokyo Pearl and GoGo Girl [which is a part of the Christmas collection.] Tokyo Pearl is a silver type color and GoGo Girl is a stand outish red.

Nail Care
It is quite important to maintain your nails, regardless of what nail polish is applied.
A base coat and a top coat are very essential! The base coat helps the actual nail from turning a yellowish color because of the polish. A top coat just helps seal in the polish.
If you would like a little more TLC for your nails, here are a few more options:
-Ridge Filler: smooths out uneven nails
-Acrylic Nail Base Coat: same as base coat except for acrylic nails
-Nail Hardener: promotes strong nails
-Quick Dry: for faster drying results
-Cuticle Oil: moisturizes nails and cuticles/keeps cuticles healthy
Nail Growth: promotes healthy nail growth

A great drugstore nail collection is Sinful Colors. This collection not only comes in many different colors with many different shades, but it also is a reasonable price. With bottles as low as $1.99, and 99 cents on a good day, it's no wonder you can never have too many! Sinful Colors can also be dupes for many other colors in different brands. Check out their website at www.sinfulcolors.com or go to your local Walgreen's or Rite Aid to experience the colors before you buy!

Blogger's Pick
For me, my favorite colors are shades of red and any neutral color [preferably pink.]
Red is such a classy color and can be worn with anything. It is more so preferred in the fall and winter seasons. However, that is why neutral is my second favorite! Neutral colors can be worn year round. They can be boring, but does not have to be!
For example, neutral colors can be a mix between beige, shades of pink, shades of brown, and even shades of gray! Every color that I named can be worn in any season and for any occasion.
If you are confused as to what colors to wear and when, always opt for neutral!

Picky Choosy
Decisions to make when deciding THEE nail color:
Skin Tone and the Season/Occasion are the Top things to look at when deciding your color.
If you are light, or fair, darker colors are the best! If you are darker skin, any color will suit you -- you lucky lady, you! :)
A few tips:
It is recommended to test the nail polish before you buy! You will be able to see not only how the color suits you, but also how shear, glittery, dull, etc it is.
Top coats are a must! It gives you a finishing touch AND it gives a glossy look!
To spice up certain colors, add a glittery, sparkle, or shimmery nail color on top of a solid color!
